Abstract
In constant search for better ways to meet the ever-expanding
needs of man, designers have come up with a myriad of innovations
across the world. Depending on the level of technological
development in a country, the scope of advancement
varies, some in the category of state-of-the-art for fast-track
global ventures. Given Uganda's level of development, some
aspects of design deserve emphasis for adoption, and, ought
therefore to be highlighted.
Human desire precipitates need for innovation and constant
improvement, which in turn call for better products and methods
of manufacture, beside several other considerations.
In this article, we cite research and development (R&D); quality;
aspects of purchasing; make or buy decisions; value
